Demon on Wheels, an 80-minute documentary film, is the story of an iconic American automobile, the man who built it and the kid who wanted to drive real fast. Grand Prix champion Carroll Shelby built the Mustang GT 500 KR, the muscle car that turned three generations of men into speed demons and the main road of every town into a drag strip. Mike Ondish master mechanic and the one-time run runner, wanted by the state cops for racing his Mustang through the sleepy Catskills hamlets at over 200mph hopes to be reunited with his childhood hero, Carroll Shelby, for a complete restoration of Mike's Mustang, hidden in the barn for over 30 years. Mike will race the restored car at the Watkins Glen Race Track, one of many special events celebrating the 40th anniversary of this legendary automobile and Shelby's 85th birthday.
