Director Lara Jo Regan
Running Tim: 1x40 Minutes
Journeying along the railroad tracks with his tattered swag and Chaplin-esque gait, the orphaned, otherworldly Mr. Winkle arrives in the mythical own of Waggsville where he is captured by a rag tag gypsy circus. The troop¹s many attempts to exploit the pint-sized pup are continually foiled by Mr. Winkle in heartwarming and hilarious ways, making him an unlikely folk hero. Big Top Winkle was inspired by the real-life story of Mr. Winkle, a rescued stray who became an international cult icon symbolizing healing, hope and happiness. Mr. Winkle is a real dog, playing himself in the film. No special effects were used to enhance his movements and expressions.
